At May 25 members of the Austrian-Malaysian Society were invited to the exhibition of the artwork of Mr. Ken Yang, a Paris-based Malaysian artist in the Malaysia-house in Vienna.

Gerhard Berka and Rosalinde Brenner (ÖMG) met the new secretary of Malaysian Embassy Mr. Muhammad Azizi Bin Aziz to discuss the coming activities of ÖMG and the future cooperation with the embassy.

On Tuesday Oct 18 Gerhard berka met Ass. Prof. Ahmad Itanee Awang, president of Open University Malaysiaand his colleagues Prof. Datuk Dr. Mohd Tajudin Md Ninggal and May Yeong to discuss relationship of ÖMG and OUM.

12.10.2022 - Austrian Business Circle in Kuala Lumpur

On Oct. 12 the ÖMG joined the Austrian Business Cirlce organised by Advantage Austria in Novotel Kuala Lumpur. Gerhard Berka gave a presentation of Austrian-Malaysian Society and met representants of VAMED, Pessl, EGLO, Tenaga Nasional and Luther.

Am 3. Oktober war die österreichisch-malaysische Gesellschaft Gast bei der einzigen Silberschmied Österreichs. Jabolinski&Vaugoin sind Hoflieferanten für Fürstenhöfe in Europa und vor allem in Malaysia.

26.07.2022 - ASEA - UNINET Conference in Linz

The Austrian-Malaysian Society took part at the ASEA-UNINET Plenary at July 26 in Linz (Austria). The ASEAN European University Network consisting of European and South-East Asian universities promote the internationalization of education and research. The ÖMG agreed meetings with Malaysian universities. Gerhard Berka met Prof. Dr. Yong Zulina Zubairi and Dr. Patricia Nora Riget from the University of Malaya discussing possible cooperations. With Dr. Agung Purniawan from the Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (Indonesia) I discussed new forms of technical education. 

22.07.2022 - 30 Years of Payer in Hungary

PAYER Group celebrated their anniversary in Ajka (Hungary). Gerhard Berka (ÖMG) was invited as guest of honor and met together with Yunus Ibrahmi (First Secretary of Malaysian embassy) and Christof Grabner (Grafin) the owner of PAYER Group Mr. Hui Shing Leong.

30.03.2022 - Besuch bei der Firma PAYER

Am Mittwoch, den 6. März besuchte der Botschafter Malaysias, seine Exzellenz Ikram bin Mohammad Ibrahim in Begleitung von Dr. Gerhard Berka (ÖMG) und Christof Grabner (Grafin) die Firma PAYER bei Graz in der Steiermark. PAYER befindet sich im malaysischen Eigentum und hat Produktionsstätten in Österreich, Ungarn, China und Malaysia. Der CEO Michael Viet präsentierte mit seinem Kollegen Mag. 10.03.2022 - Arbeitsmeeting mit Botschafter

On Friday, March 10, the ambassador of Malaysia his Excellency Mr Ikram bin Mohammad Ibrahim met a comittee of Austrian-Malaysian Society, consisting of Gerhard berka, Dr. Ramesh and Dr. Weichart. We discussed the agenda of ÖMG for 2022 and agreed a more intensive cooperation between the ÖMG and the embassy.

15.02.2022 - Dinner bei Botschafter

On Tuesday, Feb 15, the ambassador of Malaysia his Excellency Mr Ikram bin Mohammad Ibrahim invited me to meet Honourable Dato Kamarudin Jaffar, Deputy Minister of foreign affairs of Malaysia. Mr. Igor Junas, Honorary Consul of Malaysia in Slowakia also attented the meeting. I presented the next planned activites of the Austrian-Malaysian Society.

16.10.2021 - Besuch bei neuem Botschafter

Die Repräsentanten der ÖMG, Mag. Rosalinde Brenner und Dr. Gerhard Berka waren am 16. Oktober zu einem Empfang der malaysischen Diaspora in der Residenz vom malaysischen Botschafter seine Exzellenz Ikram bin Mohammad Ibrahim und seine Frau Noor Azida eingeladen. Es fanden anregende Gespräche u.a. über das weitere Arbeitsprogramm der ÖMG statt.
